The 2nd iteration of the Big Commish Classic is in the books and it was a great one!  Thank you to all members who came out to the big city to enjoy some fun and competition for the Commish’s Birthday both in my neighborhood and at my favorite local course.  I’m very grateful to everyone who made this day so special as this has been a goal for the last few seasons to bring the whole crew out to Lincoln Park in San Francisco!  Yes it’s very unique, maybe not the best shape and filled with insanely hard par 3’s but I sincerely hope everyone enjoyed themselves or at least found pockets of enjoyment while vibing with the crew in some incredible scenery and views!  Speaking of enjoyment, surprisingly this course (which is one of the shortest we play) was the first course in our history to not yield any net under par rounds!  Goes to show, length isn’t everything and give us some wind, wild greens and crazy undulations the course length isn’t needed to create a tough test of competitive golf! Another epic Championship moment, “never given, always earned”. Our guy @ryedoe after coming from behind starting the SZN3 Championship in the middle of the pack, Rye braved the brutality of the first round to get into final group and with a steady day he positioned himself with a 4 shot lead on 18 just needing to score a net 8 to get the win! Well the kid made it fun and interesting by bouncing and hopping across the hole but then capping it off with a 20 footer right in the back of the cup in front of the whole field! Back in October we crowned our 2025 SZN4 Tour Champions! This is Sactowns version of TPC Sawgrass (muni addition) and it always gets wild at the end of this course. The 5th Annual Joseph Classic Major is in the books and it was a good one! It was also a hot one and difficult one as the Tour players endured 18 holes in the San Jose heat at an incredibly beautiful and daunting course, Cinnabar Hills! Special shoutout @razeuno for most of these dope photos 📸 This is our only Best Ball Major of the year and it really came down to the wire for both the Low Net and Low Gross teams. VP DJ and the Commish had to birdie 18 to push a playoff only for DJ to sink the hearts of Rich and Russ with a 40 ft dagger in the 1st hole of the putt off to secure their 2nd win on the year and first Major for Low Gross of E. As for Low Net, it took an epic putt for 7 by Mike to propel Mike Splinter and Andy Gordon to squeeze past Dave Batts and Mick Graham for the -10 net victory! Congrats to our 2nd Major Winners and also congrats to Long Drive (Eric Kwan), CTPs (Peter Stadler and Josh Butterfield) and Putting Contest winner and defending champ (Bill Heffernan). Open registration for Member, Guests and Public This is a fun one! Twice a year we host an epic and fun contest for everyone on a par 3 course and it’s called the Pitch N Sip Invitational! Open to ALL members and guests, please pick a partner and come compete and have a blast. This event was created to do two things: Create a fun tournament for players to compete in a unique format and get to know one another AND encourage players to play with other players including teaming up with non golfers to introduce them to the game. The unique format keeps it fair and fun for all players. Registration: $69 for 18 holes (9 twice) walking including prize fund entry, hole in one contests, drink tix, trophies, sponsor gifts and more. Tee Time: First 9 Tee time 10am, Last tee time 11:20am. Tee times every 8 mins. Second 9 starts at 12:00pm. INFO: 18 holes walking (flat short course ~1000 yards. No need to go to the main pro shop, check in with us at the par 3 course. The 2nd Annual SHTSHW Invitational 2025 was truly an epic and unforgettable day on the course! What makes Hittin Links different, we’ve found that perfect blend of fun and competition and you truly couldn’t find more fun then the SHTSHW! An ode to the original “Shit Show Tour” this event is the epidemy of what true fun amateur golf is all about! There’s some good golf, some bad golf, killer costumes, but the vibes are ALWAYS immaculate! Shadow Lakes saw 72 players and 18 teams square off in 18 holes of a booze filled #shtshw of a 4 man scramble followed with an awesome putting contest and an insane 5 hole alternate shot shootout to decide the championship! Drinks were flowin, music was bumpin, laughs were loud, competition was good and the vibes were absolutely unmatched. The 4th Annual Jamie N Ginger Ryder Cup just completed in lovely #sandiego and boy did it not disappoint. This year the #sexpanthers squared off against the #pinseekers for 4 rounds on 4 courses over 3 days of exciting Ryder Cup style match play action. The weather was perfect as usual and the courses were absolutely mint and of course you know the vibes were immaculate as always. The golf was good, the camaraderie was great, and of course the drinks were flowing while enjoying a good soak in the pool or hot tub all weekend. 🍻 BIG congrats to Captain James and his #sexpanthers that rolled the competition in a defined 14-6 victory.
