Weather Policy

In general our Weather Policy is as simple as “If the course is open, we are playing.”  If the decision has been made by the club to play then no refunds will be given due to weather unless the course has ceased play day of. Players that wish to not play must:

More than 14 Days Notice – Full refund to card on file or back as a Tour credit will be given less payment processing fee ~$3-$5 
14 Days or less Notice – IF we can fill your spot, then a refund will be applied as a credit towards a future tournament less a $15 admin/taxes fee

Obviously, we want to have the best experience on the course so if the Board of Directors decides the weather is too poor to play and we request a rain check from the course, we will reschedule the tournament to a later date.  Players that cannot make the new tournament date will be given a refund via a credit.

In the event of inclement weather during play, we have enacted the following policies.

  • In the event of heavy rain, traditional putting rules will apply. However if standing rain interferes with your line, you may move the ball to a spot of equal distance away from the cup to avoid the obstruction.
  • In the event of hail on the greens, a two putt maximum rule will be enacted until the hail has melted.
  • In the event of heavy rain, the Commissioner will declare the event a “lift, clean, and place” event where players may mark, pickup, clean their ball and place within 12 inches of the mark on every shot.

Sickness

While golf is naturally a social distanced activity and we are outside 99% of the time, it is important we follow the rules of the Golf Course and their COVID rules in place. In addition, if you have COVID or have been exposed to someone that has it and you think you may be sick and/or infectious please send an email to the jhoward@hittinlinks.com and let us know and we will scratch you from the tournament. Same applies for if you have any type of infectious sickness, we would all prefer you just stay home and get better. Thank you for your understanding.

Refunds

Please note that all tournaments are booked up to months in advance, and golf courses require advanced notice of how many golfers we will have at the event to block out the appropriate tee times. The Tour is responsible for the final number as indicated to the golf course in advance. We understand that unforeseen complications can prevent you from attending an event. Therefore, the following policy will be enacted for all tournament cancellations.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at jhoward@hittinlinks.com and send your item to: 378 24th ave #2 San Francisco, CA 94121.

 

Shipping returns

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 378 24th ave #2 San Francisco, CA 94121

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
